Who are you?
Nippon Rare Time is run by Epilogue SAS, a company registered in Paris (SIREN 130 099 377). We are a professional seller of vintage watches. Before opening this shop, we sold several hundred watches on Catawiki.
Are the watches authentic?
Every watch is inspected before it goes online, and we describe exactly what we see, with photos of every flaw. If a watch does not match its description, we refund it in full.
Have the watches been serviced?
Only when the product page says so, with the date and the watchmaker. Otherwise we list what we checked ourselves: the watch runs, sets, and its date and chronograph work. A vintage watch may need a service at some point; please plan for it.
Where do the watches come from?
Mostly from dealers and auctions in Japan. Each watch is selected one by one, then inspected in Paris before it is listed.
How is shipping handled?
Shipping is free, tracked and insured, from France, within 3 business days of payment. Inside the European Union there are no import fees. Outside the EU, import duties and taxes are paid by the recipient. Details are in our Shipping policy.
Can I return a watch?
Yes. EU consumers have 14 days from delivery to withdraw. Conditions are in our Refund policy.
How can I pay?
By card through Shopify Payments, or with PayPal.
Can you find a specific watch for me?
Yes. Send us the reference you are looking for at contact@nipponraretime.com and we will let you know when one arrives.
What do NOS and JDM mean?
NOS (new old stock) is a watch made decades ago but never sold or worn. JDM (Japanese domestic market) is a model made for the Japanese market only, often with a kanji day wheel.
Will the watch fit my wrist?
Each product page gives the maximum wrist size the bracelet fits. Ask us before buying if you are unsure.
